Läs Antonovs brev till Olofsson

"Dear Mrs Olfosson,

It has come to my attention that you plan to leave your role as Centre Party Leader, and that this may also entail you stepping down from your duties as Minster of Enterprise and Energy. While I am not privy to the reasons behind this decision, I fully understand the demanding nature of the Party Leader role, particularly considering the number of years that you have served.

As you are well aware, especially following our meeting in May, I am personally deeply interested in and am concerned about what is happening to Saab.
It is not a secret that I have a certain amount of insight into the process – Victor Muller is a close friend of mine. In light of this I am somewhat anxious about your resignation: Saab is in a very vulnerable position at the moment.

Despite having interested new partners, a good order backlog and a new model programme in the making, the company could still suffer irreparable harm due to shortterm iquidity problems that undermine its relationships with suppliers and others. You have followed and supported Saab for several years, and I believe that you are the person guaranteeing that Saab receives the political and moral support it needs to ride out the storm.

Saab is currently in an odd position: it sees a bright future on the horizon, while simultaneously the company's entire existence rides on decisions over which it has no control. I'm thinking primarily of the promised EIB loans, the inquiries to accurately assesss Saab's prospects. Naturally, my thoughts are also with the thousands of employees who vacillate between hope and dispair on a daily basis.

My final question is therefore: How and to what extent could you helt to ensure that Saab quickly and effectively receives fair treatment and the degree of attention that i now requires? I see it as a challenge that someone else will attempt to take over your duties in the autumn – if it is not already too late by then.
