Att komma från Skoda (men faktiskt inte enbart) behöver ju inte vara helt fel. Där råder ju ett visst förnuft i linjeföringen.

Det snällaste jag kan komma på, är att Dacia har ännu fulare modeller än Skoda. Och att vara designchef kanske inte är detsamma som att designa. (Volvo behåller förhoppningsvis en del snitsiga formgivare.) Dessutom kanske Ingenlath hade order från toppen, att de billigare Skodorna skulle vara lite fulare än Folkvagnarna.

På Skoda lär han haft order att ge dom en viss utstrålning. De har trots allt en bruksig image som kan gå förlorad om de helt plötsligt börjar se ut som en Seat (gud förbjude). Volvo försöker däremot vara lite glammigare och då kan han nog ta ut svängarna lite mer.

gmo: 240 var en vacker bil, enkel och elegant. Detta verkar bra, Skoda Fabia är en av få nyare bilar som ser bra ut.

Volvos nuvarande deign är hemsk. Men värst var nog tidiga S80 och V70N. Pluffeluffser ut-och invändigt. Hemskt! Hade någon annan än Volvo byggt sådana bilar hade de konkursatt.
